Question: For most of our daughter’s life, the earlier I put her to bed, the later she would sleep. Her pediatrician suggested putting her to bed later each day until she slept later in the morning… tried several times and it only made her sleep deprived and cranky…
So I reversed it and found success – the earlier I put her to bed – the later she sleeps and I keep a 12 hr mental clock – So – my goal before she started school was to have her in bed by 10-11hrs and asleep by 12… now that she is in K – she gets to bed between 12-14 hrs… The phenomenon continues though – the later she gets to sleep – the earlier she wakes…Is there a name for this?
