Question: I have been experiencing sleep paralysis for a while now. But it never registered to me that was what I was experiencing.
I would wake up and see a shadowy type of figure either on or near my bed, terrified of course, I would try to yell for help but only a slight whimper would come out. But it amazed me because the yelling was SO loud in my head, it didn’t make sense…why was it not being projected through my voice? Then of course, I couldn’t move. It felt like there were weights all over my body. When I would wake up in the morning I would just tell myself it was a dream. But one night I had the most intense episode ever. When I woke frozen, there was a shadow person sitting next to me on my bed, every time i would try to scream for help it would put the blanket over my mouth. After that experience I was sure that ghosts or some type of sprirts were trying to tell me something.I had an episode last night, which led me to do some research today. I was telling my friend about my experiences and she told me I should look into shadow people, and that brought me here. I had no idea that this was happening to other people. At first reading everyone’s stories made me feel better, but then I realized that we are all seeing a variation of the same thing. Why would we all be having the same hallucinations? I feel like it has to be connected in a way. And I for one believe that these are more than hallucinations. The feeling I get when I am having an episode is like there is pure evil around me. And even though the figures I see don’t have visible eyes, I can feel them staring at me when I am obviously looking so pitiful and afraid to them. Every time it happens I know they feel power from making me so horrified. I think they choose people who suffer from sleep paralysis to contact our realm because of our vulnerable state. I think I’m going to go see a psychic this weekend and possibly get some insight. It’s freaking me out, even though I know everyone says it’s harmless. I don’t feel safe when this happens to me, and I know that these aren’t friendly things.
