Question: I am writing this because I am at the end of my tether trying to help my daughter with her
delayed sleep disorder. A couple of weeks ago we went through a sleep programme designed to get her back on course with her sleeping. This seemed to work really well and we have now got back to going to bed at 11-11.30pm and getting up at 7.30am and then sitting in front of a light box. The new regime lasted for about 2 days and now she is not sleeping again until 4am (although taking 5 (yes 5) 3mg Melatonin tablets before going to bed. She is obviously finding it very hard to get up at 7.30am and we appear to be starting the whole nightmare again. She seems to be able to get up every other day at around 7.30-8.00am but not every day. We are in the summer holidays at the moment so not too bad but when she gets back to school this obviously will not work. I don’t know if this is a blip or the programme hasn’t worked. Has anyone had similar experiences or any advice please?
