Question: The dream started off in a darkened theater, where I was one of hundreds of other kids my age hiding among the seats. I knew that we were refugees of some war or disaster that had happened. I was anxious because the others had all brought things with them like clothes and food but I had nothing.
We had to move to a different place and we were walking through a sunny meadow when a man came up to me and started talking to me. I asked him if I knew him from somewhere because I didn’t recognize him. He said, âCome on, you don’t recognize the voice?â And suddenly I realized it must be the father of Stephen, the RCC on my hall. Then a woman, who must have been Stephen’s mother, called to the man and he left. We made it to another similarly large and dark building and continued to hide. After a while some men came and took some of us in trucks away from the theater to a large warehouse-type building where we were patted down and sniffed by a Dalmatian dog (I was afraid of the dog) before being ushered inside and lined up on the edge of a long wooden platform in the dark building. I was now aware that all of the refugees were female, and that we were prisoners or hostages for some reason. We were each given a key and told to unlock our drawers on the side of the platform. Everyone else had to
use their key to solve some type of puzzle to get their drawer open but surprisingly mine opened without even needing to use the key. I was relieved to find that the drawers were filled with clothes and other necessities, and I remember thinking, âthese are nice captors.â We were also assigned nannies to look after us, all nice-looking women in their mid-twenties. The guy in charge said, âYou ladies are all nineteen years old, right?â and everyone nodded yes, but my roommate, who was sitting next to me, said, âNo, Kristen is only eighteen!â Everyone turned to look at me and I was a little afraid. The guy turned one of the nannies into a fat pink unicorn who could fly and gave her to me to go outside riding around and looking for a man I remembered. I didn’t know where he lived at all but I knew what he and his house looked like. While flying around and looking for this man, my unicorn crashed into some water (it was only her first day being a flying unicorn). We realized that it was a kid’s ride at a theme park where children flew around in a circle on plastic unicorns over a moat, where we had landed. We pretended to be part of the ride, which evidently was a race, and we won, which angered a lot of the kids’ moms. After that we flew away and continued searching around town for this mysterious man. We were still looking when I woke up.
