Question: My son has had 3 sleep studies. One when he was 3 and it was determined that he woke up with shallow breathing 14 times an hour. We had his tonsils and adenoids removed and a post sleep study. The post sleep study showed that he woke 10 times an hour. They said it was not obstructive sleep apnea but with the brain and that he would most likely out grow it.
Fast forward 4 years…my son is 7 and still having problems sleeping. We have been to the allergist, ENT, pediatrician, etc. I’m really begining to wonder if he needs a CPAP machine. I am also worried about brain tumors. Do you think he needs a brain scan?
