Question: I have an 8 yr old son, who screams, kicks, and cries out after sleeping a couple of hours from going to bed.
He’s normally a happy child but he doesn’t like going to the bathroom by himself and always wants either me (his mom), his Mimi, or his older sister to go with him. Also, when he takes a bath he always wants someone in there with him too.He says “I want …” while crying from his sleep but doesn’t finish the rest of his sentence. I ask him “What do you want” and he replies “I don’t know”. And he keeps crying, kicking his legs and feet, and screams continuously.I try to comfort him but he tells me to leave him alone and tries pushing me away from him. It really aggravates me because I can’t do anything to help him. He was on the couch when he did this but then I just took him by the hand and led him into the bedroom and he went right back to sleep. As soon as he laid down, I had to go to the bathroom and he screamed because he didn’t want to be left in the bedroom by himself. Now he’s asleep and cried out a few more times but stopped and continued sleeping. Anyone have any suggestions?
