Question: I’ve always talked and walked in my sleep for as long as I can remember.
I used to have little random conversations, walk to my bedroom or Mom’s, let the dog out, or sing TV intros. My friends thought it was funny. It was never really an issue too much until about 10 years ago. Every now and then when I am woken up, I yell, argue, or cuss at people. I have no memory but awake feeling extremely angry. It feels like a weird, angry, vague dream. My husband is aware and just ignores me now. The first time it happened my husband didn’t believe me and thought I was lying. We had only been together one year and barely started living together. To this day I have no idea what was said.I yelled at my dad yesterday and I feel terrible. I worry that this might happen one day if my son tries to wake me.Once I think I awoke half way through because I awoke in the middle of the night but I didn’t know where I was, who I was with, how I got there. It was confusing and scary. Sometimes when I yell at my husband I tell him that I don’t know who he is or where I am. I tell him to get out and not to touch me (so he tells me). I wonder what kind of doctor should I see? Hopefully it gets better.
