Question: I am 18 and have been dealing with ISP for several years on and off, sometimes with hallucinations, sometimes with the pressure on my chest, and usually occurring numerous times in one night.
I have thought that maybe it had to do with my diagnosis of bipolar, schizophrenia, and/or PTSD but I stopped experiencing ISP for a little while until last night when I had seven attacks in one night. I realized that it may also be related to an antipsychotic named Seroquel. I had stopped taking my meds four months ago and last night I couldn’t sleep and I didn’t have anymore sleeping medication so I took my leftover Seroquel, and tried to sleep, only to find myself in the terrifying grips of ISP.If anyone dealing with ISP is on or has been on Seroquel I would really like to know. Thank you.

I just started taking seroquel again for the first time in few years, given to help me sleep and stop racing thoughts. I get sleep paralysis occasionally normally but trying to sleep while on seroquel is an absolute mission because the onset and severity of the paralysis I’m experiencing is unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Not sure how to get a good sleep now, I have work in a few hours.
