Question: Sadly, my 13 year old son was diagnosed with it. We had to set up a special program with the
the school system. If he can’t fall asleep until between 2-4 am, I can’t expect him to get upat 6:30 am and function well at school. Also, WBC don’t get a chance to repair and the immunesystem is compromised if he doesn’t get to sleep around 8 hours. This is tough to deal with. His onset came after a nerve injury.

well i was born with it, and never had any allowances or help. every childhood morning was traumatic and every day in school was a bizarre and confusing sleep-deprived experience. so good on you for being on top of it and doing what you can for your son.
