Question: My mother has had this disorder all her adult life. She has a very regular sleep cycle: 3am to 11am.
She’s had to deal with it her whole life suffering with school and work schedules, and being out of step with her own husband. Her family labelled her “lazy” growing up, which was ridiculous (she was the only one of her siblings to finish school including two masters). She also kept the house, cared for her younger sibs, worked to buy her own clothes, etc., etc.Anyway, she’s now in her eighties and I can’t find a “home” that will accommodate her disability. This is not right. I’m at my wits end! Any ideas?

organization that legally advocates for the disabled. They know the ADA, and civil rights law. Also, the government can tell you about the ADA too, and there is information at disability.gov. There is also a “National Long-Term Care Ombudsman Resource Center”.
