Question: I was a full time student majoring in Fine Art and Graphic Design. I also had to take College Algebra as one of my general education requirements–that was the hardest course I ever took.
I stayed up until after 5:00 am studying for a test, and the class was at 8:30 in the morning. So that means I didn’t sleep. When I was driving to my class, I could barely keep my eyes open. I was experiencing something called micro sleep, where I would doze off for a split second on the highway–that really scared me! Luckily I had a fast enough reflex to wake up and pull over to a parking lot to take a power nap. I got to my class safe and sound and no accident. If my eyes were shut for another second on the road, I could have been dead!
