Question: My twin sister is coming to visit during her spring break next week, so I guess that’s what triggered this dream. It happened during a mid-day nap. In the dream, my sister arrived at Stanford at night. As I introduced her to my friends, I noticed that many of them were saying, “Happy birthday!” to her as they shook her hand. I wondered how they knew that it was her birthday. I knew that it wasn’t her birthday, because we obviously have the same birthday.
I tried to tell people this, but they told me I was just jealous that it wasn’t my birthday and that I just wanted more attention. I began to believe that they were right and convinced myself that I was actually adopted. My sister saw that I was freaking out and offered to share some of her birthday cake to make me feel better.
