Question: My 18 month old daughter has not been a good sleeper since birth. She sleeps very late at night and yet she could wake up mid-night and wake again early morning.
To make things worse, she had suffered from kawasaki disease a month ago. Thought this will go away after she was off the steroid medication but it didn’t. Now she still wakes 2 to 3 hours every night crying and playing. During the day time she only sleeps 2 to 3 hours. So she only sleeps about 9 hours in a 24 hrs day. I wondered will she continue to be like this?I have tried giving her a warm shower, massage her, feed her before bed but none of these help. She still sleep at 12am and wakes up 4am. She won’t sleep until 6am or 7am.Me and hubby are so depressed and suffer lack of sleep. We always envy other children who can have a good night and sleep through the night but why not my own daughter.I didn’t see any PD as I thought this is more like a habit rather than a sickness. I also did not want to get her any sleeping pills as she is too young. Please help me..
