Question: I have only ever experienced “lucid dreaming” twice. But both times have ended the same. The most recent experience I had with lucid dreaming was awhile back. It was late and I was on YouTube. I watched a video on lucid dreaming and how to do it but eventually I got tired and decided to go to sleep with no intention to achieve lucid dreaming.
It was weird, I woke up and I was in my bed, it was dark, everything looked realistic as if I weren’t dreaming, but I knew I was. I felt like a tingling/buzzing sensation (which I later looked up and it’s a sign effect of sleep paralysis which leads to lucid dreaming) and I couldn’t move. I remember wanting to try to move and I was aware that I was lucid dreaming but at the same time I was scared. I wanted to move and try to control my dream but I was too scared to do it.I remembered the first time that this happened to me, I just closed my eyes and tried to fall asleep, which works. I woke up and everything was back to normal. So I did that the second time of lucid dreaming.I am still curious about it and want to try it again but not be so afraid and try to move and wander but I read some pretty scary articles on other peoples experiences and how they see “demons” and such and that’s what scares me the most.
Thanks for sharing your story. What you describe actually sounds like sleep paralysis, rather than lucid dreaming. You are aware during sleep paralysis, as in lucid dreaming, but during sleep paralysis you typically see your actual surroundings. In other words, I would imagine you were seeing your real room if your eyes were open while you couldn’t move. During lucid dreaming, on the other hand, you are in a dream world. The demons that you mention are common stories for sleep paralysis. You’re right though, that sleep paralysis can be used as a catalyst to a lucid dream, but that is after you have fallen asleep from the sleep paralysis episode.
pray when u wake up in dream world an everything looks and feels realistic bt ur only problem is that u can’t move praying works trust in GOD
I think this has happened to me before. I felt really weak and stuck and I was screaming. I also saw a black looking hand crawling over my pillow as well. I think if I was calm and tried just resting I could’ve gone into a lucid dream but this happened before I knew about lucid dreaming so it didn’t. Next time this happens I want to go into a lucid dream.
