Question: Its been a month and some days now since i had a severe panic attack during the night, which has increased my fear of not falling asleep since i know the consequences of not doing so.
It is very hard for me to fall asleep, although i occasionally do, because im obsessing over the fact that when night time comes i wont sleep and the thought terrifies me. I have tried relaxation techniques and setting up a sleeping pattern but for some reason i still cant get the thought of not sleeping out of my head which i think is whats keeping me from sleeping. When it comes to nightime Its like if im aware that im falling asleep so i dont fall asleep. I try very hard not to thik bout it but its always on my head. I really need help, i have seen a psychologist and a psychiatrist which prescribed me Alzam for anxiety. But i still find it very hard to fall asleep. Please any advice would be very helpful.
