Question: I just stumbled across this page trying to fix some sleeping disorder I have had since birth, no idea what it is but this page seems to fit the bill, however whilst I now have an idea of what might be affecting me your “solutions” to me are completely inconclusive. I have a mild form of Autism known as “Asperger’s syndrome” whilst i am very borderline and i have done well to deal with it so far I am not able to change my light sensitivity and sound sensitivity. So that rules out the bright light treatment as it hurts and often leads to several problems that effect me all day.
Now as for the pills, whilst I haven’t done every pill and to be honest I haven’t done a lot of them, I’ve been on a fair few therapeutic treatments and calming remedies (these don’t seem to work at all) and I have also been on (what was experimental drugs) Melatonin and serotonin along with other treatments. I find that the melatonin and serotonin really helped me sleep but the quality of my sleep was awful, I’d often wake up more tired than when I fell asleep and that feeling wouldn’t disappear during the later hours of the day.I will back up one cure though, “Zopiclone” this stuff isn’t too bad at all, it gets you to sleep, the sleep quality isn’t great but still better than anything else I could find, however you do suffer from a range of negative side effects, for example I had hallucinations and
drowsiness. Also you can’t stay on those for too long as the negative consequences are far too harmful.(A more risky opinion)I honestly have done my fair share of trying to find cures but after 16 years of bad sleep and having to conform to normal waking times you start taking more risks in trying to deal with the problem. I turned to marijuana and I can safely say that it gives me great sleep and I get to sleep a lot quicker, the only side effect is that it’s a bit of a struggle to get up in the morning if you smoke too much, but that feeling goes away after about an hour. I have also been made aware that this is used as a cure for sleep deprivation in America (if only England would hurry up and do the same).Right now I am struggling massively as I have no money to buy the drug (and have no intention of stealing money or something stupid like that) and I don’t have a job, and whilst I’m trying to get a job I don’t fully understand how I’m expected to do this when I’m on 2/3 hours of sleep a night (and thats when I wake up at 10.30 so waking up for a job at 9/8 would be disastrous for me and the company.Hope someone can get back to me with a legal cure in England. Would be much appreciated. Also please excuse my bad spelling, as you can probably tell I’ve not been sleeping very well haha.
