Question: My doctor is considering a study for me…..I wake from my sleep with a headache and my blood pressure has increased. When I am awake there is not a blood pressure problem and I do monitor frequently. I am a big dreamer and not always pleasant, usually a crisis and I have thought this could be the reason for rise in headache and blood pressure. When I awake with the headache and take blood pressure it varies but is over 140…then in about 3 to 5 minutes goes down to less than 120. Anyone else experience this?

Hi!
For almost a year, I have experienced headaches at night towards the morning. First, they were mild and irregular. In the fall last year, they became more intense and occurred every night, and during the day I felt so tired and down.
My doctor sent me to a sleep clinic in December. It took four months to get the results and to find out that I have sleep apnea.
While waiting for the results, one day in January, I pressed a part of my mustache just below my left nostril. The pressure triggered a pain along my left temple. As I continued pressing, the pain radiated and was like my night headaches.
I went to the dentist who discovered that I had a huge abscess over three teeth. Following antibiotics and dental surgery, my headaches subsided and finally disappeared.
Now, for almost 2 weeks, I have been trying a CPAP device. Every night, I am fighting with my mask. My sleep is not good and I’m still very much tired. Hopefully, I’ll get used to the machine and regain my energy.
If I don’t get my energy back and continue to experience weird dreams/nightmares, that will be because the problem comes from perhaps anxiety and stress.
