Question: I’ve had sleep paralysis for the last 5 years. I’m terrified and I hallucinate every time. I feel a dark presence in my room and I have a hard time falling asleep or being in there even before I fall asleep. I dream scary things and then I wake up, and after a little bit I feel the paralysis hit me.
I’ve realized the more I fight it the more it hurts me. But I can’t help it, I get so scared I need to resist. I have a hard time watching scary movies so you can imagine how I feel actually living it.Lately, I’ve been having sleep paralysis and “something” has been touching me. I’ve felt hands wrapped around my neck suffocating me, hands around my ankles pulling me out of bed, and just last night I felt a gust of wind and a hand moving the hair out of my face hard, and then I’m not sure but what felt like a bunch of rats jumping all over my bed and on my ear.I try to say “In the name of jesus christ get out of my house” but of course I can’t talk and my throat gets really tight, so I try to think it but even that is a hard challenge.I’m getting really freaked out. I want to believe that this is some sort of science thing where my body is asleep and I’m still in REM but that’s kind of hard to believe when I can physically feel hands dragging me out of bed like some kind of Paranormal activity movie. It’s driving me insane and every night I dread going to sleep. I don’t know what to do anymore.
